Local artists Joelle Francht and Mike Keeling join New York's Nancy Fairchild and Cleveland's Nancy McEntee to interpret The Human Form.

The exhibition began Sunday, June 22nd, with a packed artists' reception that afternoon from 2-5 pm. The exhibition runs through Sunday, July 27th.

Gallery East hosts Nancy Fairchild, who uses vibrant oils to create her abstract female figures. McEntee's high contrast, black and white photographs, showing in Gallery West, illuminate her figures from above in a storyland of three dimensions. Francht, in Gallery Centre, works with acrylics, ink, and other media to "suggest," rather than fully define her figures. In the Outdoor Sculpture Gallery, Keeling's contemporary approach to figurative metal sculpture is revealed.

12 12 Gallery, South Richmond's Fine Art Gallery, in the John B Anderson House, is just east of Hull Street. Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays 12-4, Saturdays 11-6, and by appointment. The Gallery is closed Sunday - Wednesday.
